Hope that lasts

The storms rage
The billows roll
The earth quakes
The heart sinks
Where else can one run to
Where else can one find shelter
The trials are choking 
It is difficult to express through words
Everything seems to be lost
Hope has totally vanished.
Echoes of defeat sounding louder than normal.
Why would you let the sea swallow you!
Why on earth will you allow the trials choke you!
Have you forgotten who you are?
Have you lost hope already?
Have you forgotten the promise?
You will go through deep waters and great trouble, 
He will be with you!
You will go through rivers of difficulty, 
You will not drown!
You will walk through the fire of oppression, 
You will not be burned up --the flames will not consume you!
You are precious in His sight!
He has bought you!
He paid in full!
You are His!!!
Never forget that!

There is a comfort that comes with intimacy. It comes with a tide that is exceptionally intense in that you don't need to be nervous about your next notch. Even in the midst of the storm, you are still able to sever yourself from the chaos around you and concentrate on God whose love for you is unquestionable. I must confess that it is not easy to be in the center of a turmoil and still show no worry. But it is also good to know that Rome was not built in a day. Everything can be learned including shifting your attention from troubles to solutions. It just takes deliberate and consistent effort. A dude who worked for a petroleum company was fired from his job just two weeks before their major business deal was concluded. Mrs Kate was having dinner with her daughter when the news headline popped up. Nora shouted, 'mum look! It has happened. Mrs Kate quickly wiped her eyes to be sure that the was not daydreaming and she ran very close to the screen shouting ' Ah! mogbe! This is really happening. Thank you Jesus.
