The reasoning switch
One might say "I have a passion for this or for that", but you might be going about it the wrong way. Another could ask, "does it really mean I'm not passionate about it". Another could also say "could it be that I have no one to lead me in the proper direction; or perhaps I was even discouraged; maybe I substituted my passion for something else; better still, I just could not keep up with it".
See, there will always be an excuse for something you're not doing rightly. Can you just be honest and put all those excuses aside and be real with yourself. Take a minute and think. What is really stopping you from pursuing your goal. Well, the ball is in your court. Don't sit there waiting for who will push you left or right. Everyone is pursuing their own dream. People may or may not be led to help you find that which you seek.
Now, you might say "I've got this! I know where I'm headed. I don't need the whole lecture". Well don't be too quick to say. There will always be that person that has gone ahead of you. You sure need assistance. Why bottle it up totally. Open up, yes open up.
Everyone needs a push though, it takes a small push for you to know where you want to be or even back on your feet again( if you have fallen off). The question really is "where are you going?" Do you move or do you wait for a "standby pushing machine" to always do that for you. Why blame others for your inconsistencies. If you are really passionate about something then run with every fibre in you to get it done the right way.
Peradventure the issue is the resource needed, well, there should be a force or zeal already bubbling inside of you before you think of resources. Begin first. Be steady and consistent and in the long run, everything will play out perfectly. Focus is very crucial. In preparing a dish, It is not the method of cooking that really matters but the issue lies on whether the purposed result came through. Because one may focus on the procedure or method and end up diverting into a totally different thing. In a race, the target is to win at last, so, whether you run with your fist closed or open; or whether your head is down or up; or whether you had a bad or good day, does not really matter at that moment but what really matters is whether you were able to win at last. The only way all those will really matter, in the midst of the race, is if the goal is not to win; then, anything goes. However, if the runner is only concerned on winning the race, he must let go of all his side distraction and focus on where he is headed.
Going for the best is usually tasking. You will not expect everything to be a bed of roses, but you must decide whether to continue or not. Only you can make this decision and no one else.
Change the reason for not being adequate and embrace the need to be adequate. Reason differently. Reason positively and see the results.
Desiring the best is not the issue but being willing to discipline yourself to get the best is.
Dream!
Pursue that dream!
Focus intently!
Pay the price!
Win!
